If you disconnect the exhaust valve electric connector and run the vehicle without this connection, the valve will stay open assuming you disconnected the connector while the valve was open. It’s unlikely you will get an error code on your dash but the vehicle may notice that the valve is disconnected and think it’s jammed and therefore reduce power. One week and maybe 150 miles later, I re-sanded the rear half of the pipe because of where a piece of failed masking had ruined the paint. After re-masking and re-painting, I did a few light coats and was satisfied with the end result. Rub those pipes all up and down and make sure the surface is consistent.
